Dr Mohinder Singh Randhawa, known as Son of the Soil, was a Botanist, Historian, Promoter of art & culture and a writer. He played a major role in bringing green revolution and establishing the city of Chandigarh. Dr M. S. Randhawa donated his personal collection for the use of scholars and students interested in agriculture, horticulture, biology, botany, sociology and Indian art, folk, culture and natural resources. This collection also includes his handwritten notes.
